Women’s Standard Dance Shoes
Elegance that moves with you.
What makes a Standard shoe a Standard shoe?
Standard dances – waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slow foxtrot, quickstep – are danced in a closed hold with an emphasis on smooth movement, correct body line, and precise weight transfer. A closed court shoe with a lower heel (typically 5–7 cm) supports correct heel placement, enables long smooth steps, and keeps the foot in an elegant line throughout the dance.
Unlike Latin shoes, where active footwork is desirable, a Standard shoe stabilises and guides – which is why its construction is fundamentally different.
Larisa London: Italian luxury Standard shoe
Larisa London offers Standard court shoes with the same attention to detail as its Latin models. Italian handcrafting, exclusive materials, impeccable finish. For dancers who want to stand out on the floor not only through their dancing.
PortDance: Portuguese quality
PortDance is the premium choice for those who value precise craftsmanship and long durability. Handcrafted shoes from Portugal that will last an entire season of intensive training.
Akces Dance: reliable everyday choice
Akces Dance offers a wide range of Standard court shoes for training and competitions. Polish handcraftsmanship, certified materials, accessible price. Quick-fastening models instead of a classic buckle are especially practical at competitions – you can put the shoe on and take it off in seconds.
How to choose the right heel height?
For Standard dances the most commonly used heel is 5–7 cm. A lower heel (5 cm) is more stable and better suited to beginners; a higher one (6–7 cm) allows a fuller movement and a more beautiful leg line. We will advise you personally based on your level and foot anatomy.
