Girls’ Latin Dance Shoes
An open sandal that teaches the foot to work correctly.
Why an open sandal for Latin dances?
Latin dances – samba, cha-cha, rumba, paso doble, jive – require active footwork: pointing the toe, weight transfers through the ball of the foot, rotations on the half-toe. An open sandal with an adjustable ankle strap gives the foot room for full movement while holding it securely. A closed court shoe would restrict this movement.
Akces Dance: girls’ Latin dance sandal
Akces Dance offers girls’ Latin dance sandals for Juvenile I, Juvenile II, and Junior I categories. Satin upper with adjustable instep strap, suede sole for optimal glide on the floor, block heel in line with WDSF rules. Available from size 27.
Larisa London: premium choice for Junior I
Larisa London is for those who care about every detail. Largely handcrafted shoes with an emphasis on comfort and finish – for girls in the Junior I category who want to shine on the floor not only through their dancing.
Correct sizing is essential
A dance shoe should fit more snugly than everyday footwear – toes must not be squeezed, but the foot must not slide inside. As a child grows we recommend a maximum of 0.5–1 cm of room, no more. We’ll help you determine the right size in person in our showroom.
