Girls’ Dance Shoes
The right shoe for every dance style.
Latin or Standard?
The basic split in girls’ dance footwear follows the disciplines: Latin-American dances (samba, cha-cha, rumba, paso doble, jive) require an open sandal; Standard dances (waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slow foxtrot, quickstep) require a closed court shoe. They are not interchangeable – the construction of each type is tailored to the movement of that discipline.
If a child dances both, she needs both. If she currently dances only one discipline, one pair is enough.
