Boys’ Dance Shoes
The right shoe for every discipline.
Latin or Standard?
Boys have the same split by discipline. Latin dances require a shoe with a higher heel that shifts weight forward onto the ball of the foot – technically essential for correct hip action and rotations. Standard dances require a low, stable heel for a firm standing position and smooth long steps.
Heel height is not just a style choice – WDSF regulations govern it for every age category and discipline. For Juvenile categories, the permitted heel is the same for both Latin and Standard dances (max. 2.5 cm), so in practice one pair is enough. A dedicated Latin shoe with a higher heel only becomes relevant from Junior I onward.
